Marubayashi started in the 1960s. The day after graduating from elementary school, founder Lin Shunzong came to Longfenghao Braised Pork Rice Restaurant in Taipei Roundabout to work as an apprentice. He learned while saving money. When he saved a small amount of money, he would buy a tool to make money, starting with an iron bucket and slowly accumulating wealth.

Until 1977, when the original store was established on Nong'an Street, the main customers were taxi drivers. It was well received because of its delicious taste and hygiene. Later, in November 1999, it moved to its current three-story store on Minzu East Road, becoming what can be called the top braised pork rice noodle shop in Taiwan.

Regarding Maru-Lin's signature braised pork rice, founder Lin Shun-Zong has his own insistence that the most suitable meat for braised pork rice is pork neck, preferably with a little bit of fat. With enough oil and tender meat, it can be moist but not dry and smooth but not greasy after being stir-fried, boiled, braised, and stewed.

Because of the founder's unique, simple, and enduring dedication to braised pork rice, Maru-Lin Braised Pork Rice has been established for over forty years since 1977. Lin Shun-Tsung, as a restaurateur, runs "braised pork rice" as a popular and affordable dish, and his unwavering commitment to serving it has allowed the flavor of Maru-Lin Braised Pork Rice, which holds many memories, to be passed down.

In the minds of the general public, braised pork rice is the most common Taiwanese snack, accompanying many people as they grow up. Perhaps it's just a small stall at the corner of your alley, where a bowl of braised pork rice can satisfy your daily hunger.

Braised pork rice shops are usually small and down-to-earth, but Jiulin Braised Pork Rice has evolved over decades from a small shop 40 years ago to a three-story restaurant, overturning the public's impression of traditional snack stalls. The natural glazed stone in front of the door, the magnificent granite on both sides of the staircase, and the marble floor are all on the floor. The interior is decorated with antique wooden carvings and antique furniture, and all the tables and chairs are made of rosewood. This allows customers to not only taste the familiar and nostalgic flavor, but also to discover that braised pork rice can be so exquisite and sophisticated, and can also be a kind of enjoyment.

At the same time, it maintains the reasonable price of braised pork rice, so that customers who come here to eat braised pork rice or have a big banquet or a small drink can enjoy a luxurious dining environment at an affordable price.
